Clermont Condominium

Clermont Condominium is a compact residential building designed as a collection of quiet, tailored apartments rather than a typical development layout. The architecture is restrained — warm whites, pale oak, charcoal accents and stone — so that every suite reads as a calm, furnished room from the moment the door opens.

The street elevation reads in two parts: a dark brick base with arched storefronts and planted sills, and a light cast-stone body above where recessed balconies and black steel frames cut shallow shadow lines into the plane. The facade is intentionally flat and proportional, letting the depth of the window frames and the rhythm of the brick arches provide the detail.

Inside the suites, a full-height upholstered headboard wall carries a diamond-quilted panel above a vertical channel base, with a continuous cove reveal washing light between the two. Oak casework, a stone-cylinder lamp and a soft wool carpet keep the palette to warm white, taupe and charcoal. The bedroom is treated as a wrapped volume so the bed becomes a sculptural object within it.

Kitchens are designed as integrated millwork walls rather than appliance zones. Cream lacquer uppers sit over oak base cabinets, quartz counters extend into a dining ledge, and integrated refrigeration is concealed behind oak panels. A linear pendant and under-cabinet lighting warm the surfaces at night while keeping the ceiling plane clean.

Bathrooms continue the same material language. Thick marble vanities float over walnut cabinets, fluted plaster shower walls are washed with cove light, and black fittings punctuate the pale stone. Every powder room is given the same attention as a master bath: a fluted vanity, a vessel basin, and a backlit mirror.

Entry vestibules and corridors are kept deliberately plain — flat painted planes, a slim black-framed full-height mirror, a single floating marble ledge, and cove-lit walls — so the transition into each residence feels calm before the room opens up. The elevator landing and unit entries use rift-oak doors, fluted glass sidelights and black recessed numerals to mark each threshold as a considered moment.
